Practical Guide to Workplace Accommodations

October 15 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

$125

Workplace accommodations support employees to do their job safely and successfully. When handled well, they support both individual success and overall team performance. By understanding the employer’s duty to accommodate and the accommodation process, you’ll be better prepared to ask the right questions, identify real needs, and create solutions that work for everyone involved.

In this course, you’ll learn about workplace accommodations, including when they may not be possible due to undue hardship. You’ll also build a graduated return-to-work plan that supports a smooth and respectful transition back to work.

In this course, you will:
  • Apply the workplace accommodation process steps in response to real-world scenarios.
  • Identify when a request for accommodation may exceed the threshold for undue hardship.
  • Determine the appropriate questions to clarify employee needs and limitations.
  • Draft a graduated return-to-work (GRTW) plan based on real-world scenarios.

The course fee varies between $125 and $180 depending on the ticket type.

This course will take place on October 15, 2025, between 9 am – 12 pm (PDT, Vancouver).

“Participating in the Art of HR certificate program offered by Engaged has been an enlightening and rewarding experience for me, both professionally and personally. The value these workshops have brought to my role at VBIS is truly significant.

What stood out most in these programs was their interactive format. This wasn’t just about learning from the instructors; it was an immersive experience where I could engage with and learn from other participants as well. This dynamic environment not only enriched my learning experience but also fostered a sense of community and shared growth.”

“Participating in The Art of HR certificate program has been an educational, motivating, and rewarding experience. Learning from experts in their fields about the main functions of HR, best practices, tips and tricks made this experience incomparable to other HR courses I have done.
