Certificate Information

The Art of HR Certificate is comprised of six courses:
• You must take all the Core courses
• In addition to the Core courses, you may choose any three Elective courses.
The cost of the full program will depend on if you register under that Early Bird, Non-Profit, or General Admission rates.
You bet! Once you have completed the 3 Core Courses and the 3 Electives, you will automatically receive your Certificate by email.

Basic Course Information

Currently, we are offering all 9 courses that comprise the full Certificate program in Fall 2021 and Winter 2022.

From time to time, we will add specialized courses that will be advertised on theartofhr.ca and www.engagedhr.com.

Our team is located in British Columbia, Canada, and all our workshop times are in Pacific Standard Time.
• All courses (except for The Art of People Management) are 6 hours in total, divided into 3-hour sessions over 2 days.
• The Art of People Management is 12 hours total, divided into 3-hour sessions over 4 days.
• Each 3-hour session lasts from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
• Each course is taught via Zoom; and you must be present for all the 3-hour sessions of your course. The courses are not recorded for later viewing.
• Each session is interactive, so you won’t be stuck staring at people’s faces, with no opportunity for input! As much as possible, our instructors create opportunities for participants to work together as a large group and in smaller groups in breakout rooms. All participants are encouraged to be ready with their audio and video on throughout the session. We look at each course as an opportunity to learn not just from your instructor but from your peers as well!
All our workshops are live and are instructor-led. We do not offer the ability to purchase a recording of our workshops.

Purchases, Refunds, and Course Transfer

• Yes. Full refunds, less the non-refundable Eventbrite processing fee, are offered if a cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the course start date.
• Cancellations made within 48 hours of a course start will not be refunded.
If you are eligible for a refund you can start the process from the confirmation email you had received from Eventbrite. The system will then walk you through the steps.
• Yes! The majority of the courses are offered in both Fall and Winter seasons. You may move your registration from one season to the next if you are unable to attend on the original date.
• There will be a $25 processing fee on each transfer made.

• Yes! If you wish to take a different course altogether, you can transfer to a new course and will be charged a $25 processing fee.

Yes. Your registration ticket is fully transferrable. No processing fee will be applied. We do ask that you give us as much notice as possible so that we can ensure the new participant has all the relevant information to participate in the course.
• Unfortunately, no. For all our courses, our instructors create opportunities for participants to work together as a large group and in smaller groups in breakout rooms. Taking only one day of the next season’s offering for your course can potentially disrupt the dynamics that are created in the classroom setting.
• You can register again for the full 2-day course in the following season, for an additional half price of the registration fee. Email us at artofhr@engagedhr.com for information on how to register.
